    GDF profile ducts are widely used in HVAC projects, where traditional riveted sealing processes are employed—flange joints must be flat, accurately angled and free from distortion. However, with GDF duct orders, flange specifications can change at any time; it might be GDF20 today and GDF30 next week. Purchasing a dedicated machine for each specification results in an excessively long return on investment cycle.

    The Liding GDF Dual-Spec has been designed precisely for this purpose. A single machine handles two GDF flange specifications, sharing the same frame whilst operating on separate tracks. On the left is the GDF20 (0.6–0.8 mm, flange height 20 mm); on the right is the GDF30 (0.8–1.0 mm, flange height 30 mm). Two sets of 24 precision rollers are independently configured, sharing the frame, side panels and motors. Switching between specifications requires only a change of feed side; there is no need to dismantle or reassemble dies.

    • This equipment features 24 sets of rollers specifically designed to suit the cross-sectional characteristics of GDF profiles, with each set precisely positioned according to the GDF forming path. Unlike TDC flanging machines, which require flange strips to be formed separately and then riveted by hand, this machine continuously roll-forms GDF flange joints directly onto the edges of the sheet metal. The finished product emerges with fully riveted flanges, eliminating the need for secondary processing. The flange joints are flat and fit seamlessly with the corner brackets. The roller arrangement data accumulated by Liding in the field of GDF profile forming has been validated through actual production on over 2,000 machines worldwide.

    • GDF20 (0.6–0.8 mm) on the left and GDF30 (0.8–1.0 mm) on the right: the two sets of rollers are independently configured, sharing the same frame and motor.     • The operational context of this equipment means that a PLC is not a necessary component. There is no requirement for flying shears, no servo-driven width adjustment, and no automatic memory for multiple specifications—sheets enter the equipment, undergo continuous roll forming, and are discharged directly, operating at a single, constant speed throughout. Consequently, traditional electrical control fully meets production requirements, aligning with the equipment’s process specifications whilst reducing the customer’s reliance on external PLC programmers. When the equipment is exported overseas, routine maintenance can be carried out by local electricians.
