Fully Automatic Square Duct Production Line – AML Series for High-Volume HVAC Duct Fabrication

In traditional duct fabrication, each process is carried out on separate machines, requiring manual handling to move the material to the next machine after each step is completed. The AML Series integrates uncoiling, levelling, rib pressing, corner punching, shearing, seam locking, flange forming and bending into a single line. From uncoiling to the finished duct emerging from the bending station, the sheet metal remains in continuous motion without touching the floor, being transferred or pausing. The entire line is centrally controlled by a PLC, with all units operating in coordination. The line can be operated by just one operator and two personnel to collect the finished products, replacing the traditional division of labour requiring three to four people and significantly reducing labour costs.

The AML series offers eight standard models—ranging from the standard AML-III to the U-shaped AML-V+ U—covering carbon steel sheets of 0.5–1.5 mm and stainless steel sheets of 0.5–1.5 mm, with adjustable speeds of 8–12 m/min. Customers can select the most suitable model based on production capacity requirements, sheet thickness and site conditions. Optional features such as tie-rod hole punching, Snap Lock seaming and TDF flange forming further expand the equipment’s versatility, meeting customised requirements precisely without adding redundant functions.

The multi-station continuous roll-forming process, combined with a PLC control system, ensures forming precision. Length tolerance is ±0.5 mm/m, diagonal tolerance is ±0.8 mm/m, and bending tolerance is ±1 mm/m. The formed ductwork is square and dimensionally consistent, reducing the amount of on-site installation and adjustment work required. The equipment operates at a noise level of ≤82 dB(A), meeting workshop environmental requirements.

Prior to dispatch, the entire production line undergoes integrated commissioning and continuous operation testing; the equipment is disassembled and shipped only after each unit has been verified to operate seamlessly and without faults. Technical staff accompany the shipment to the customer’s site, where they are responsible for the assembly of the entire line, mechanical positioning, electrical connections and system commissioning, ensuring the production line achieves its designed operational status.

Upon completion of installation, comprehensive training is provided to operators, covering daily operating procedures, parameter setting methods, identification and resolution of common faults, and key points of routine maintenance, ensuring the operational team possesses the basic capabilities to run the production line independently. Following commissioning, the equipment is covered by a 12-month warranty and lifetime free technical consultation.
